Unfortunately, there will not be puppies at Fionntan for the foreseeable future. I had a very special breeding in the works, but it fell through due to factors beyond my control. So it will be at least six months before we can try again.
If you're looking for a puppy, please try the Samoyed Club of America Breeder Listings. Do your homework. Ask lots of questions, and expect to be carefully screened in return.
It's worth the effort to find someone good to work with, someone who is choosy about where they place their babies.
And good luck in your search!
I've been getting tons of puppy inquiries--and unfortunately, I don't have any immediate plans for the next breeding. If and when those plans are made, I will update here, but it will likely be the end of this year at the absolute earliest--I'm still recovering from the last litter of 8, who went to their new homes in November!
Below is a photo of Rizzo, from my "Cubbie" litter born last April 1st, with his owner's grandchildren. Big, sweet, gorgeous boy!
I got this photo of Lewis, almost 3, and had to share. There is nothing better than getting updates from happy families. Lewis was such a special baby, and he's gotten himself a great family--and that's what it's all about.
Tarot is indeed pregnant, and pups are due on/around April 1st. All are spoken for, unless it's a large litter.
Tarot (Hawkwind's Azurite In The Cards) has been bred to Mojo (CH Supernova's Got My Mojo Workin), and fingers crossed/breath being held, puppies should be due around April 2nd. These should be gorgeous puppies, and sweet! Can't wait to see what we get :)
2015 was kind of a crazy year for me, and I can't say I'm entirely sad to see it go... Hopefully 2016 will be a bit slower and more mellow!
People have been calling and emailing about puppies, so I figured an update was in order. Tarot will be bred, one last time, to CH Supernova's Got My Mojo Workin, "Mojo." Mojo is a big, sweet, gorgeous boy, and I'm looking forward to seeing how pups turn out. Right now we're waiting on Tarot, who true to form, is doing things in her own time, in her own way :)
This litter should all be spoken for before they even come into the world, but I do plan on one more breeding a bit later in the year, and we'll be accepting inquiries.
Here are a couple of photos of two of the girls from our last litter. At top is Lina, and at bottom, in the basket, is Ivy. They are out of the Jackson X Roxie litter, which produced 5 girls and 2 boys. All are now in their new homes and adjusting very nicely.
The next breeding is planned for after the first of the year, when I plan to breed Tarot one last time. Her suitor is yet to be determined :) I am taking applications for spots on the waiting list.
I have gotten behind in returning emails about puppy applications, so if you've sent your info and not heard back, don't be afraid to email again and light a fire under me! I'm good at raising puppies--not so good with paperwork and email sometimes, so don't be shy if you haven't heard back from me in a while.
Here are a couple of win photos of Fionntan's Crown of the Continent, otherwise known as "King Ralph." Ralph lives near us, so I get to borrow him for shows--and it's a real treat. Ralph is from the Ray X Sheena litter, will be two in July, and has all but one of his championship points. We're hoping he will be "Champion Ralph" very soon :)
Tyler X Tarot pups are now five weeks old. They have discovered the great outdoors, and would happily spend their days outside! Here, they have crashed after playing, catching a snooze in the late afternoon.
